Idaho state court judges — rated on rulings, appointments, and judicial philosophy. In development.
Getting reliable, structured data on judicial rulings is genuinely hard. Unlike legislators — where every vote is a public record — judicial decisions are scattered across court systems, buried in PDFs, and rarely indexed in a way that allows consistent cross-case comparison. Determining whether a ruling was constitutionally correct requires legal analysis, not just a vote count.
There may be a legislative fix for part of this problem — a change in how Idaho court records are published and indexed. We're watching that closely and hope to have more to say before next session begins.
