What We're Building
Idaho's judiciary is elected — Supreme Court justices and Court of Appeals judges face retention elections. We're building a rubric to score their rulings on constitutional issues: property rights, 2nd Amendment, parental rights, state sovereignty, and due process. No other Idaho index rates judges. We will.
The Problem With Judging Judges

Getting reliable, structured data on judicial rulings is genuinely hard. Unlike legislators — where every vote is a public record — judicial decisions are scattered across court systems, buried in PDFs, and rarely indexed in a way that allows consistent cross-case comparison. Determining whether a ruling was constitutionally correct requires legal analysis, not just a vote count.

There may be a legislative fix for part of this problem — a change in how Idaho court records are published and indexed. We're watching that closely and hope to have more to say before next session begins.
